The signature of the great tenor saxophonist Coleman Hawkins (1904-1969) is scarce and desirable to jazz collectors. In the late 1950s and 1960s, Hawkins played with John Coltrane, Oscar Peterson, Sonny Rollins, Thelonius Monk and Duke Ellington.
