Four Russian .875 Silver Cigarette Cases, one St. Petersburg, Nichols & Plinke, makers, 84 zolotnik standard, in the trompe l'oeil style, engraved in imitation basketwork, the interior gilded, complete with vesta and tinder compartments. lg. 4 1/4; one Odessa, maker's mark 'IS' in Cyrillic, 1903-1908, 84 zolotnik standard, the cover cast and chased with a portrait of a young man in shirtsleeves and tie with brushed back hair, the interior gilded, lg. 4 5/8; one Moscow, after 1928, maker's mark 'PAS' in Cyrillic, 84 zolotnik standard, the cover cast and chased with a scene of a blacksmith at the forge, with reverse with a dedicatory inscription to 'Comrade N.I. Dubrovskii', lg. 4 3/8; one Moscow, 1899-1908, the cover's silver panel chased with a contemporary sailor above a scene of ancient Russian boats on a river in front of a walled city, the covers mounted with a gold border engraved with facsimile signatures, applied monograms, naval symbols, lg. 4 in., approx. 24.70 total troy oz.
