A French Mahogany Mantel Clock, Retailed by Mappin & Webb, London, Late 19th Century. The George III style case in the Gothic taste with carved and brass stop-fluted quarter columns, raised on small brass ball feet. The The circular white enamel dial with Roman numerals, and blue steel hands, inscribed 'EXAMP BY / MAPPIN & WEBB / LONDON', the twin train movement striking on a blue steel gong, the backplate and pendulum numbered '66493' and stamped 'MADE IN PARIS'.
Dimensions: Height 10 1/4in; width 6 3/4in; depth 5in.
Condition
The enamel dial with scattered small losses around the winding holes. The case with typical marks, wear and toning to the metalwork. We cannot guarantee the completeness and functionality of the clock's movement.
