Description

Model "Eva" armchair. Bent beech wood and woven canvas webbing. A rare early production of this iconic Swedish Modern armchair. Initially known as the "Work Chair", the Eva chair was designed by Bruno Mathsson in the late 1930's for his father Karl Mathsson's furniture firm. This example, which dates from the 1950's-1960's, is signed on the back stretcher with stamps for both Bruno Mathsson and Firma Karl Mathsson. Dimensions: H 34" x W 23.5" x D 28" x SH 16" Condition: Small stress crack to proper front right corner of seat. Minor soiling to armrests, scattered dings and scuffs to frame. Canvas with fraying and a few areas of minor soiling. H093
