Description
A large brass jug made by casting. The body is cast in one piece with the base braised to the vessel. The form is a cylindrical base which expands to a central band, this is decorated with diamond lozenges. Above this band the jug tapers in again towards the neck which has a relief collared ends in an open spout which is typical of Sassanian jugs of this type.
