II.
Birger Sandzen (In the style of) Swedish Winter Motif, 1893. A beautiful oil on canvas with a tiered carved wooden frame, a very elegant frame color for a nice painting. You can see a writing in the lower left looking at the painting and it says (B. S. 93.), the painting has a very striking color appearance and reflects peace and tranquility. The painting in parts has a high relief style. The canvas on the reverse has a slight dark color (brown) that apparently denotes that it has been generated by antiquity, a beautiful oil on canvas that you cannot miss with a very nice wooden frame.

1. The word "In the style of" is used for a work by an unknown creator who has created a copy of a known work by the named artist. (Source: Getty Art & Architecture Thesaurus).

IV.Sven Birger Sandzén (February 5, 1871 - June 22, 1954), better known as Birger Sandzén, was an American painter best known for his landscapes. I have produced most of his work for him while working as an art teacher at Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas. It was fortunate for American and Kansas art when a young Swedish artist named Sven Birger Sandzén decided to emigrate to Lindsborg in 1894. Sandzén became one of Kansas' best known artists. Sandzén developed a love for art at a young age. Educated at Swedish universities, Sandzén went to Paris to study with professors, where he learned about Pointillism and Impressionism. Bethany's founder, Reverend C. A Swensson, encouraged Sandzén, 23, to come to Bethany College to lead the school's art department. He claimed that he never had to get in the mood to work and that no matter how busy his schedule was, he always found time to paint. The most important foundations of Sandzén's art were "order" and "quality of life." Every part of his work on him was planned; His classmates said that he was interested in two works of art: the one he was working on and the one he was planning.
