Description
This stunning piece was worn by the cast of AIDA at a La Scala, Milan, Italy Opera production, probably between the 1930s and 1960s. Attributed to A. CORBELLA, the foremost Italian maker of opera and theater jewelry. Very good vintage condition; no missing stones. Measures approx. 3" wide x 2 1/8" high and can be attached to a multi-strand necklace by using the 10 loops attached to it. Provenance: From the collection of the late MASSIMO COMOLI, celebrated opera set designer and architect, best known for working with the late Gianni Versace on the redesign of the iconic Villa Casa Casuarina in Miami Beach (formerly known as the Versace Mansion).
