Description
A large Korean gilt bronze thinking Buddha, dating form the 17th century. The pensive Buddha figure sits on a lotus style seat with right leg crossed over left knee and right elbow bent, with right hand raised in Mudra. Buddha has a placid and content expression.
H.4 3/8" (11.1 cm)
Provenance: Collection of Mr, and Mrs. Ralph Harman Booth, Grosse Pointe, Michigan,acquired in the 1930s, and thence by descent

Condition: in overall good condition with some losses to the gilding over the bronze.
