Description
1st item: Chinese 19th century huaniaohua (bird and flower) painting on silk depicting two birds perched on a twisted branch. With DuBose Gallery, Houston, Texas label affixed to backing plus old inventory label. Floated under glass against a red mount in a silvered frame with green silk embroidered border. Sight: 13" H x 13 1/2" W. Frame: 17 1/4" H x 17 3/4" W. 2nd item: Southeast Asian Buddha in the gyan mudra pose and seated in a double lotus postiton atop a tiered throne, incised decoration throughout. Fitted with a hardwood stand. 4 1/8" H. Late 19th/early 20th century.
