Description
A complete set of 20 framed lithographs from Henri Matisse's "Jazz" series portfolio published by George Braziller for the Museum of Modern Art in 1983 (a facsimile of the 1947 Teriade for Editions Verve publication). All floated under plexiglass in metal frames with ivory mats and textile mounts. 20 items: Sight: 15 1/4" H x 23 1/2" W; Framed: 22 1/4" H x 30 1/4" W.
PROVENANCE: The Guardsmark Collection, Memphis, TN. These prints were used to decorate offices throughout the Guardsmark headquarters, noted for its Mid-Century Modern furniture and art. Other framed sets were sold in our July 2021, Jan. 2022, and Oct. 2023 auctions.

Condition
All items in apparently excellent condition, not examined outside of frames. "The Swimmer in the Tank" with crack to plexiglass, lower right.
