Man Ray, born as Emmanuel Radnitzky (August 27, 1890 – November 18, 1976), was an American visual artist who made significant contributions to both the Dada and Surrealist movements. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and initially pursued studies in architecture, but he soon shifted his focus to art.Man Ray is best known for his innovative work in photography, although he also worked in other mediums such as painting, sculpture, and film.
