Paul Cocksedge (b.1978), ▴ 'Light as Air', 2006, a PVC, lacquered MDF and aluminium sculpture with LED light, the shade from an edition of 77, signed to the underneath of the base, 55cm high Provenance: Acquired in 2006 directly from the artist. The original ‘Light as Air’ was born out of Cocksedge wondering whether he might blow materials other than glass. Working with PVC, beautifully shaped objects appeared that looked as though they were from the potter’s wheel, albeit with a super high gloss finish.
