Needlework sampler "Mary J Favor's Sampler. Wrought under the care of a friend Mary S. Field(?) New Chester July 25th 1837 at the age of 11 years." Alphabets at top, and verse underneath. A house and tree at the bottom, flanked by floral displays. Frame: H 18-1/4" W 17". Sight: H 15-1/4" W 14". Condition: Professionally framed. A few areas where the substrate has been stretched, with light separation of some threads. Overall very good. Collection of Ann Fassnacht.
