Description
These ancient black banded agate dzi beads from the Bactria-Margiana Archaeological Complex in Central Asia are a set of three, measuring approximately 1.2-1.9 cm (0.47-0.75 inches) in diameter each. Dating back to the crossroads of the Parthian and Roman era, between 200 BC and 100 AD, these beads embody the artistry and mystique of the Himalayan region. Crafted from the finest black banded agate, each bead in this set features distinct striations that are characteristic of the time period, reflecting the sophisticated lapidary techniques developed in ancient Central Asia. Their well-preserved condition makes them a rare and valuable addition to any collection of antiquities.
