A JADE 'HUMANOID FIGURE' PENDANT, NEOLITHIC
China, Neolithic period, possibly Hongshan culture, circa 4000-3000 BC or later. Worked in the form of a seated double-horned humanoid with arms to the back, seated with legs bent at the knees. Aperture to the back, between the horns. The stone of a yellowish color with russet and brown inclusions and veins.
Condition: Good condition with expected traces of wear, few losses, and tiny nicks.
Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
