American Carved Rosewood Armoire, mid 19th c., the finialled arched bonnet top with turret corners, above a cabochon centered highly carved frieze, over double scroll surrounded mirror doors, flanked by canted corners with acanthus fruit bracket on a base, with two lower drawers, on a plinth, on block feet, H.- 97 in., W.- 60 in., D.- 24 in.

Structurally sound and in overall very good condition with no losses or shrinkage cracks to doors or sides of case. Armoire may be slightly newer than mid-19th century, c. 1900. Finials appear intact. There is a small cracked repair to one of the scrolled acanthine feet on the left side of the door. Exterior retains excellent patina with very few cosmetic nicks and scratches. Loew drawers with later replacement glass ball knobs.
