Southeast Asia, Thailand or Cambodia, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A hand-carved wooden coconut grater of sizable form depicting a crouching rabbit. An ovoid kneeling panel is situated atop the rabbit's back so the user can put more strength into extracting the fleshy interior of the coconut via the serrated iron carving arm emanating from the mouth. Size: 25.125" L x 7.25" W x 12.9" H (63.8 cm x 18.4 cm x 32.8 cm)

Condition
Iron coconut scraper is removable from rabbit's mouth. Minor abrasions and several stable hairline fissures to wooden body, otherwise intact and very good. Great surface smoothness and lustrous patina throughout. Previous inventory label beneath base.
