Print on Paper, 1860, "The Long Shot", H 11" W 13.75" | Issued from Bufford's Print Publishing House 313 Washington Street, Boston. Titled Red Deer Shooting. the Long Shot, lower center. Having a carved wood cross bar frame with foliate rosettes, H 17.5", W 20". Bufford was the first employer and art teacher of Winslow Homer but was also a prolific lithographer and competitor of Nathaniel Currier. Provenance: Property from the collection of John Francis Dodge, Co-Founder of the Dodge Brothers Company. By family descent
Condition
Light staining to the paper. Missing rosette in the upper right of the frame.
