Description
An antique Japanese Imari-style porcelain charger. Late Edo or Meiji era, 19th century. White plate with hand-painted cobalt blue, gold, and red decor. Floral patterns, birds and animals. The backside is garnished with a flower motif. Everted rims. Unmarked. Imari ware is a Western term for a brightly-coloured style of Japanese export porcelain from the Arita region in the 17-18th centuries. Collectible Asian Oriental Tableware And Serveware.
