Set of functional store displays made by the Elgin Butter Co. between 1871 and 1918. Elgin, IL The Elgin Butter Co., opened by Gail Borden, made the town in Illinois the "Butter Capital of the World" in its heyday and even lends its name to the now standard Eastern-style of butter, Elgin sticks. Some of these models appear to be incomplete or will require repair. This lot also includes one Elgin Butter Co. bucket brush.
