JEWISH WWII MEZUZAH with TEXT in HEBREW from LITZMANNSTADT in POLAND
A Jewish WWII mezuzah with Hebrew text from Litzmannstadt in Poland. It is a wood carving and comes from a genuine old collection, suitable for either a historic museum or a private collection. We are selling a collection of old Mezuzahs that were created over 70 years ago. A Mezuzah is a small parchment inscribed by a qualified calligraphist with scriptural verses, serving as a reminder of Jewish obligations toward God.

HISTORY of SALES: A few years ago, mezuzah made from wood were sold on Live Auctioneers for $450 and on eBay for $300, and $550 - please refer to the screenshots for details. Today, prices have significantly increased compared to those of 5-10 years ago.
WARRANTY: The buyer has 7 days to inspect items valued at up to $5,000 and 15 days for items valued at $5,000 or more. Items can be returned to the seller for a refund; please refer to the Terms for more details.
NO RESERVE: More than 70% of all auctioned items have NO reserve price. Among the remaining items, there is a very reasonable reserve price set.

WIKIPEDIA: A Mezuzah comprises a piece of parchment called a klaf contained in a decorative case and inscribed with specific Hebrew verses from the Torah (Deuteronomy 6:4-9 and 11:13-21). These verses consist of the Jewish prayer Shema Yisrael, beginning with the phrase: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord (is) our God, the Lord is One'. In mainstream Rabbinic Judaism, a Mezuzah is affixed to the doorpost of Jewish homes to fulfill the mitzvah (Biblical commandment) to 'write the words of God on the gates and doorposts of your house' (Deuteronomy 6:9). Some interpret Jewish law to require a Mezuzah in every doorway in the home except bathrooms (which is not a living space), laundry rooms and closets, if they are too small to qualify as rooms.
