Antique Chinese 3-Part Pewter Warming Dish with Figural Crane Lid and Various Inlaid Stones
Location of Manufacture: China
Period of Manufacture: Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) / Early 20th Century
Dimensions: 6 3/8"(h), 9" in maximum diameter
Combined Weight of Figures: 4 pounds, 6 ounces
For your consideration is a signed Chinese pewter 3-Part warming dish. This beautiful serving dish sits on scrolled fit with the entirety of its body being covered with engraved Chinese characters, 3-dimensional archaic embellishments and dragon form handles fitted with nephrite components. The lid has a preening crane in relief covering its entire surface whose eye is a green glass cabochon. The lid sits atop the interior basin whose scroll-decorated edge can be seen from the exterior. All pieces are marked identically.
