Description
(1808-1878) Union brigadier general, a veteran of the Mexican-American War, twice wounded at Resaca, also led at Peachtree Creek and Sherman’s March to the Sea. War-date partly-printed D.S. 1p. folio, ‘In the Field in Georgia’, Nov. 30, 1864, an ‘Abstract of Provisions issued to the Sick’, listing a number of men and their rations. Signed at conclusion, along with Surgeon J. N. Himes. All folds weakened with splits thereon and need of reinforcement, else very good.
