Lot of (5) Pieces of Chinese Jewelry to Include Items Composed of Sterling Silver, Cinnabar, Carved Bovine Bone and Amethyst
For your consideration is a lot of five pieces of quality Chinese jewelry. Included in this lot is:
1. Marked Antique Chinese Silver & Cinnabar Panel Bracelet. Each panel is composed of an intricate silver filigree frame holding a carved cinnabar lacquer plaque with floral decoration. Each silver panel measures 1 1/4" x 1 1/8" with the cinnabar plaques measuring 7/8" x 3/4". The bracelet is 7 1/2" in length when box and tongue clasp secured. The back of the terminal plaque carries an impressed "China" marking. The bracelet secures and unlocks as it should and a safety chain looks to have been added post production without any damage to original creation. Item is in excellent condition with no breaks, missing pieces, heavy wear or repairs. We have not polished this offering and will leave that to the expertise and discretion of the winning bidder.
2. Heavy Silver Chinese Cuff Bracelet with Auspicious Symbols. This sturdy cuff does not have much give at all as the silver portion is wrapped around an internal material to give it form, strength and design. This internal material can be seen at both ends of the bracelet and looks to be some hardened clay-like material. The bracelet is decorated with (3) Chinese 'lu' symbols representing prosperity and good fortune along with stylized floral accents. No markings noted. The opening where your wrist would slide through is 1" wide and the interior dimensions of the bracelet are just under 2 1/4"(w) x 1 3/4"(d). This offering is in excellent condition with no damage, breaks, heavy wear or repairs. We have not polished this offering and will leave that to the discretion and expertise of the winning bidder.
3. Chinese Carved Bovine Bone Zodiac Bead Necklace. This interesting necklace is composed of 1 1/8" x 1" carved bone beads depicting various Chinese zodiac animals along with both of their corresponding symbols. All Chinese zodiac figures are represented on this necklace except for the Year of the Rat. In other words, the beads depict the Ox (niu), Tiger (hu), Rabbit (tu), Dragon (long), Snake (she), Horse (ma), Goat (yang), Monkey (hou), Rooster (ji), Dog (you) and the Pig (zhu). The beads are not placed in order and some are 'upside-down', leading us to assume that this necklace has been restrung. Necklace is outfitted with a toggle type clasp and its total length is 17 1/2". Item is in excellent condition with all beads showing stability, no repair and no noted damage. No other markings noted.
4. Antique Chinese Carved Cinnabar and Bovine Bone Bead Necklace with Gold Beads and Carved Bovine Bone Okimono Figures. This stunning necklace begins with nicely carved cinnabar beads that measure 1/2" in diameter and are interspersed with gold and intricately carved floral bovine bone beads with a 3/4" diameter. Along the sides of the necklace are (2) carved bovine bone female okimono figures that are well carved both front and back. Each figure measures 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" and no markings on these figures are noted. The closure is a filigree decorated tongue and box clasp. Total length of the necklace is just over 29". All components of the necklace that are present are in excellent condition with no damage, heavy wear or repair. The stringing does look original but there do seem to be some missing beads from the original design.
5. Chinese Sterling Silver Ring with 3-Dimensional Carved Amethyst, Quartz or Lavender Jade Foo Dog. Size 6.5 and marked "925" and "China". No damage or repairs noted.
