Native American, United States, Northeastern Woodlands, Wampanoag, ca. 19th century CE. An intimidating wooden club with a narrow, ribbed handle for better grip and a flattened body that widens to a hefty head. A pair of deep grooves encircles the head, perhaps to previously hold rivets, with 2 brass bolts in between. Size: 20.7" L x 2.8" W (52.6 cm x 7.1 cm)

Surface wear as shown with some minor chipping as well as nick, abrasions, and a few stable hairline fissures to surface. Otherwise, intact and very nice with rich patina throughout.
