An overwhelming accumulation of approximately 160 original VHS videocassettes containing somewhere between 300-400 collective hours; possibly more, of rare, unusual, and unseen archival footage, gathered from private collections across the US, Canada, and even abroad. There are theatrical agency promotional videos of acts seeking employment; privately shot documentations of countless circuses large and small, an impressive representation of Wild West Show footage, sideshow attractions, carnival footage, variety acts galore, etc. There are film transfers from vintage 8mm and 16mm motion picture films, television new clips, broadcast specials, documentaries, and much more. There are only a very few commercially available tapes, as well: the largest concentration in this collection is of privately amassed material. As can be expected, quality will vary somewhat, from tape-to-tape. All tapes appear to be in VG/VG+ condition, and a number of them have been visually spot-checked for playback accuracy, as well. Assembled from various theatrical agencies, circus historians, and researchers, the span of time represented dates back into the early 1930's. Cond A-/C.

Absence of notes concerning condition in the lot description does not make the item free of defects or imperfections. It should be noted most of what we sell is in pre-owned condition meaning it may have wear consistent with age and use. Bidders are encouraged to inspect items before bidding.
