Description
Frank Stella (American, b. 1936). Offset lithograph and screenprint titled "Polar Co-ordinates II" from the series "Polar Co-ordinates for Ronnie Peterson" depicting a circular shape on a curved grid, 1980. Pencil signed, dated, and numbered 40/100 along the lower right. Printed and published by Petersburg Press.
The name of the series comes from the grid-like structure of the works in the series as well as the name of the Swedish motorsports race driver who died in September 1978 at the Grand Prix in Monza. Peterson was a friend of Stella's.

Condition
There are no visible tears, creases, or losses. The colors are bold and bright. There is undulation to the sheet. There are two holes, in the lower right and left corners, that appear original to the artwork. There is wear to the frame, framed under plexiglass. Not examined out of frame.
