Description

Featured in this lot is this circa 1800's Eskimo Taxidermy Walrus Skull with tusks. The skull features a wonderfully and professionally crafted taxidermy construction that shows the head and the jaw with both tusks shown intact and complete and showing great preservation. The piece has been in the family for over a hundred years and was originally collected from a Eskimo family in the 19th century. The condition of this walrus skull is well preserved with the units of the skull showing three different pieces but otherwise is well preserved for its age. The measurements of this walrus skull is 28 1/2" x 16 1/4" x 17 1/2". The collective weight of this walrus skull is 36lb 10oz.
