Description
Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A leaded-bronze figurine of Osiris, god of the underworld, standing in mummiform pose with a petite tang beneath for stability. The effigy stands with crossed arms holding his crook and flail, and atop his head is a tall Atef crown with ostrich feathers, a sun disc, and a frontal uraeus cobra. Size: 0.5" L x 0.9" W x 3.75" H (1.3 cm x 2.3 cm x 9.5 cm); 4.7" H (11.9 cm) on included custom stand.
