Description
A Pennsylvania Sheraton Cherry Two-Part Corner Cupboard, Cumberland County, Second Quarter 19th Century. The upper section having a pair of glazed doors with sixteen lights enclosing a shelved interior with plate grooves, flanked by turned half columns, over a conforming lower section with a single convex drawer and two small false drawers above a pair of paneled cupboard doors, raised on turned feet.
Dimensions: Height 83 1/2in; width 51 1/4in; depth 25 1/2in; corner dimensions 34 1/2in.
Provenance:
Descended through a Cumberland County, Pennsylvania family.
Property from a Philadelphia Collection, purchased from above.
Condition
Structurally sound. Retaining an old dry surface. General marks, wear, scuffs and surface scratches overall. The interior of the upper section is painted. One pane of glass cracked. No key.
