Vintage Picture of Children Playing Football. The brothers printed this photo to remember the good old days playing football growing up. Roderick "Stu" Thomson went onto play for Yale. Dory Thomson went onto play for UVA. Both are forever remembered in Winchester MA, High School Sports Hall of Fame. Although both incredible athletes in their time, it was the golden years they'd never forget playing together in the backyard. Doug Passed away at age 43 and his older brother kept this image with him. Helmets appear to be of the early 20th Century. Roderick ?Stu? Thomson ?54 had dreams of becoming a quarterback in the National Football League, and though he is not one to brag, many believed he had the athletic talent to make it. Playing for Winchester High School, back in the 1950s, when ?high school football in Massachusetts was as good as anywhere in the country,? Stu led a team that was the best in the state his junior year. That same year his basketball squad also won the state championship at Boston Garden.
