Ten pieces of brown transferware by William Ridgway, c. 1830-1834, all with gilt accents and shaped rims, comprising: Two round form sweetmeat dishes with double handles and four round plates with "Sibyl's Temple Tivoli"; dishes 10 1/4" x 9 1/4"; plates 9 1/4"---Two square form sweetmeat dishes with double handles, one with "The Borghese Palace", other with "Castle of Chillon"; 10 3/4" x 10"---Two oval sweetmeat dishes with double handles, each with "The Borghese Palace"; 12" x 9 1/2"---all in good overall condition with a few minor glaze flakes to back side of some rims---From the estate of Joseph Ewing, long-time antiques dealer in OH, NC, and SC, to benefit the Laurens County Museum Association and the Laurens County Humane Society, Laurens, SC.
