and Cover c.1870, 11 1/2", all loosely in the style of the Victorian Gothic Rival Architect A.W.N Pugin, the oviform body with four double loop strap handles, the conical cover with budding finial, each side with a white primrose above anthemion palmettes, all upon on a socle foot. The title Shrewsbury is thought to be a reference to Lord Shrewsbury who was a patron and friend of A.W.N Pugin.
