Majolica Renaissance Revival Jardiniere c.1880, 37"h, 18 1/2"w, the central column of leaves and bullrushes with three maidens holding drapes aloft the central bowl, with acanthus border and fruit cornucopia swags, all upon a pedestal base supported by four griffins. This jardiniere represents one of Krause's most ambitious designs and although no evidence is known to prove this, it was probably made as an exhibition piece.
