Offered here for your consideration is an older Hopi Kachina. The Kachina's head is gray with a bright red cap and a yellow nose, there is a red and white triangular box shape on each side of the nose. The Kachina wears a white kilt with black geometric designs and white sash with a black arrow design. The Kachina is detailed and retains its bright coloring. This Kachina appears to be Tasaf, a Hopi deity who functions as an intermediary between the Hopi and the gods.
MAKER: Unmarked.
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: Kachina measures approx 3 5/8 inches wide x 9 inches tall.
CONDITION: Average for its age, some nicks in the wood and feathers are deteriorating. Minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
