Additional Information: Considered one of the most beautiful nursery catalogs ever produced. Alois Lunzer, prominent botanical artist, was employed by First National Nurseries of Rochester New York to illustrate their entire catalog. Lunzer painted 100 watercolors that became these stunning lithographs created by the skilled artisans at Stecher Lithography. Most are signed in the plate. The subjects include flowers, fruits, bushes, trees and landscape treatments. Probably the only American nursery catalog illustrated by a known artist. The images frame up handsomely.
