Description
A colorful Thangka painting representing the Buddhist wheel of time called Kalachakra Mandala designed by the Dalai Lama to bring balance and inner peace. Finely hand painted on canvas with high definition details. Tibet, 20th century. Most thangkas were intended for personal meditation or instruction of monastic students. The Thangka was used in religious processions, in temple interiors, and in the home altar. They often have elaborate compositions including many very small figures. A central deity or symbol of it is often surrounded by other figures in a difficult symmetrical composition. Thangka serves as an important teaching tool depicting the life of the Buddha, various influential lamas and other deities and bodhisattvas. A great opportunity to decorate the interior or use it for meditation. Thangka Art, Tibetan Meditation, Religious Paintings For Collectors.
