Ancient Egyptian Terracotta Ushabti Ca. late 19th Dynasty, ca. 1295 - 1186 B.C. Size 6 1/4 inches high. Molded terracotta ushabti, wearing a black painted royal wig, holding red painted royal implements and having a vertical hieroglyphic register down his legs, painted black on an ocher ground. Body has a thin white slip ground. Some very minor high point paint wear, otherwise intact, exc. cond. Provenance: Estate of a NYC educator, acquired from Museum Surplus, Ken Martins, Laguna Niguel, CA., item # 9648, 7/9/2008
