Vintage Sterling Vermeil Etruscan Revival Ram's Head Collar Necklace and Bracelet with Metropolitan Museum of Art Earrings in the Style of Zolotas
For your consideration is a fabulous sterling silver vermeil Etruscan Revival ram's head hinged collar necklace and bracelet and Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA) earrings. The necklace is hinged and somewhat flexible so it is easily put on and removed and can be molded to the wearer. The underside of one of the ram's heads carries a partially obscured marking - but a "925" marking is easily distinguished. The interior diameter of the necklace, when closed, is 4 3/4". The weighty hinged bracelet is quite stunning and a true classic. The side of each ram's neck is marked "925" with no other marks noted. The interior dimensions of the bracelet are 2 1/2" x 1 7/8". Due to the heavy sterling construction of the bracelet, the bracelet retains the shape and dimensions described and cannot be flexed. When the hinges open , the opening to slide your wrist through is a maximum of 1 1/2". The clip-on earrings are marked on their backsides "MMA" and measure 1 1/8"(l) x 1"(w).
