For more than 70 years the sounds of speed have been heard on State Road 2 in South Bend, Indiana. For over a six-decade period from the mid-1940s, midget racing, and stock car racing has on the schedule at South Bend Motor Speedway. A framed, vintage 1952 advertising poster for a 200-lap Championship Race for Modified Stock Cars at the track is presented here. The race was won by Neil Penny of Kalamazoo, Michigan who started 23 in the field of 33 cars. The poster has some tears, staining, creasing, and wear from use / age.
