JANNEY & CO, ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA MEDICINE BOTTLES, LOT OF TWO, comprising one aqua paneled rectangular-form example embossed "JANNEY & Co" to front panel and "DRUGGISTS" / "ALEXANDRIA, VA" at each side panel, having a long narrow neck with applied tapered mouth, and a colorless oval-form example with flat panel embossed "JANNEY & CO. / DRUGGISTS / ALEXANDRIA, VA.", both smooth base. Circa 1875. 5 3/4" HOA.
Catalogue Note: Janney & Co. also put out and sold an "Old Dominion Tonic Bitters" bottle, which is being offered in this sale as lot 279.

Collection of the late Al and Billy Steidel, Alexandria, VA.

Condition

Very good condition overall, glass generally excellent with some routine scuffing and wear/scratching, but aqua with excessive sickness/mineral stain.
