Leo Naugler (born 1956) is a renowned folk artist hailing from Camperdown, Nova Scotia. His journey into folk art began in the late 1980s, inspired by his neighbor Eddie Mandaggio. Prior to his artistic pursuits, Naugler worked as a highway laborer, owned a small automobile body shop, and displayed impressive welding skills, which he later incorporated into his sculptures. His artistic prowess extends beyond carving, as he is also a talented painter. His vibrant and quirky creations capture the essence of Maritime life, reflecting his zest for life and sense of humor. Naugler's work has left a mark in the world of Canadian folk art, earning him a place in prestigious collections, including the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and The Museum of Civilization.
