Description

Ellis G. Brant (1893-1968) oil on board, listed Wisconsin artist, known as a W.P.A. artist. It is hard to find works from him, but what does turn up is always exciting. This piece is from the late 20's late 30's depicting Milwaukee Pigsville Valley and the Wisconsin Ave Bridge in winter. It is well executed and detailed depicting a long past time in Milwaukee. The Arts and Crafts gold gilded frame is original to the piece. Overall great condition and a rare piece of Wisconsin art; Measures 35" across by 25" tall framed.
