Near East, Sasanian (Sassanian/ Sassanid) Empire to Seljuk (Seljuq) Empire, ca. 7th to 13th century CE; Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE; Central Asia, Afghanistan, ca. late 19th to mid-20th century CE. A collection of three cast bronze, tin, and silver-copper rings! The largest is an Afghani tin "tower" ring with a raised signet style face, featuring a flat face etched with script. Next is a bronze Roman ring, the row of Xs across the face was a popular symbol for military legions. The last Sasanian ring is a silver-copper alloy and inscribed with linear markings that may represent a simplified animal motif. Size of bronze ring bezel: 0.56" Diameter (1.4 cm); band opening: 0.7" Diameter (1.8 cm); US ring size: 6.5. Silver ring face: 0.51" L x 0.42" W (1.3 cm x 1.1 cm); band 0.7" Diameter (1.8 cm); silver quality: 36% to 59%: weight : 2.3 grams

Condition
Tin ring is intact, but not recommended for wearing, due to rough patina surface and mineral deposits. Bronze ring is intact and very good, smooth and wearable band! Silver ring is not recommended for wearing due to patina, otherwise intact. Rubbing and softening to motifs on all faces.
