Central Asia, Pakistan and Afghanistan, Gandharan Empire, ca. 200 BCE to 100 CE. A carved black schist offering table, of miniature size, standing on four low feet and decorated with incised floral motifs and a pretty border around the upper edge. This beautiful table was probably used to place offerings in a small home altar or before a small statue in a temple. Size: 5.4" W x 1" H (13.7 cm x 2.5 cm)

Provenance: private J.H. collection, Beaverton, Oregon, USA
