Description
**Originally Listed At $200**

Central Asia, Tibet, ca. 19th century CE. A round container made of two flat, round, repousse brass and tin sides, held together with a strip of undecorated brass. A brass handle emerges from one side. The decorated sides have swirling floral patterns divided into rounded quadrants. Hanging from the sides are two chains with hollow ends that create a rattle effect when swung (only one of these remains). Lime paste is used to make a chew from Betel nuts, which is a common custom in central and southeastern Asia. Size: 1" L x 4.1" W x 6.75" H (2.5 cm x 10.4 cm x 17.1 cm)
