Oak Pilgrim chest, c. 1700, American, probably Massachusetts, three board oak lid over two panel front, each with four decorative small panels with molding surrounds, chip carved till cover present, one early butterfly strap hinge, case with shadow molded stiles and rails, single panel ends, original oak and replacement bottom boards, wear consistent with age and use, refinished, lid cleats missing, original cleat pin breaks to rear posts, replacement snipe hinges gone, one early butterfly strap hinge present, proper left rear joint broken, repairs and alterations, sold as is, etc., 26" h. x 54" w. x 24" d.
