BIOGRAPHY:
Arthur G. Hahn was a native of Buffalo and a graduate of Wilson Central High School. He was also a graduate of the J. N. Adam School of Art in Buffalo and served for 20 years in the Air Force until he retired in 1963. He was an associate member of the American Watercolor Society and an exhibiting member of many of the leading art associations of New England.Hahn won more than 150 awards and prizes in regional art festivals and exhibitions. His paintings hang in the permanent collections of many large corporations, institutions and banks and in more than 900 private collections in five countries. He was art director of WCSH-TV in Portland.An annual "Art Hahn Purchase Prize Award" has been established in recognition of his service to arts and artists.
