Description
2-pc in black silk faille w/ standing collar, faux revere, cuff & skirt panels of weft patterned silk on satin ground, c. 1888, B 30”, L 17”, skirt W 20”, L 40”, (few loose/missing buttons, 1.75” pull rt SH, iron shine at bodice seams, few holes/tears up to 1”, minor shattering skirt, tiny stains, hem worn); 2-pc brown silk taffeta w/ standing collar trimmed w/ lace, leg o’ mutton sleeve w/ Chantilly lace to cuff, corded applique 2-tone trim CF skirt, bodice lined in twill cotton, glazed cotton underskirt, c. 1893, B 32”, L 17”, skirt W 24”, L 41”, (underarm discoloration, loose/missing closures CF, seam openings up to 1” & loose stitches at trim, lace collar partly unstitched, tiny holes/small stains, Wband altered) all good-very good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.
