Description
1 resist printed cotton morning dress in red & brown floral sprig & dot motif w/ Aesthetic pleats at CB & front into knife pleated standing yoke ruffle, bishop sleeve, c. 1900, B 34”, W 28”, L 58”, (minor discoloration/dye variation, few small holes, wear to cuffs & CF collar closures, few loose/missing buttons, lining discolored); 2-pc black silk mourning dress w/ dyed chemical lace applique, monobosom bodice, modified bishop sleeve, skirt w/ box pleated front panel & horizontal applied bias bands to H & above hem, c. 1905, bodice B 31”, L 17”, skirt W 21”, L 42”, (few tears up to 7” lower CB skirt, 1.5” hole CF hem, 0.5” hole right collar, 0.5” strain left underarm, wear along CB hem, few tiny pulls in trim) both good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.
